Compare different Turkish media outlets (newpapers, television stations, magazines, radio stations)– does the owner have an influence on the content?

in Turkish media outlets and also in international media outlets owners have very big impact on contents. all owners change the news for their beneficial or hide some news and bring another news in the foreground and they made their propagand through their channels and newspapers it of course effect the news reliability and the idea of the audience. for example last summer there was selection and every party made their propagand with their channel and for example recep tayyip erdogan owned trt and trt changed it mission and began to make programs which against chp. and chp claimed that trt isn't turkish radio and television anymore it is tayyip radio and television. there were lots of examples like this a lot of writer fired from their newspaper and some programs taken away from puplication. it is a big issue and it is hard to be solved.

films can be have commercialized with severals ways but ı know one of them it is product placement. when we watch movies we don't see every details but our brain analyze it there can be some secret ads on movies. and they gave money for these. or not secret ads people in movie can use some products and who watch it , want to buy these products we can see it in Truman show very obviously. in some scene her wife use some products and also say these products benefits and truman couldn'T understand why she do it. because he didn't know that he is a part of a tv program. programs can effect people easyly and make people buy them. for example in matrix they use a cell phone and at that days that kinds of phones became populer.

Compare Turkish media to other international media- do you see a difference? If so, in what way is there a difference?

when ı look at the turkish media tv, newspapers etc. ı see lots of unnessary stuff, news about models, football players etc or some changed and destined news. and internation media isn't different too. every channel has owners and these owners don't give permission to making news against them of course and when there are big news which can shock people and cause a big reaction they use unimportant news to arrouse the people's attention to another and live down the shocking one. programs can be different but methods are same. some programs like 'gelinim olur musun' in which you tring to find a bride to your son isn't appeal some european counties it is came from turkish culture.but lots of programs are same becouse turkish producers began to buy some populer programs like big brother or who wants to be a millioner and tailer them turkish culture. and made "bbg and kim beş yüz milyon ister " . ı don't see so important difference. ads are a bit not a bit a lot longer than from international channels this is a problem.

media is indispensable in my life like the majority of the today's world. newspaper, television, radio.. they are always with us. Infact ı haven't watch tv for a long time, not having a tv at dorms can be a reason or most probably main reason is laptops taking tv's place. yesterday ı watched a episode from a serie in it, somebody says nowadays, there is no people who use tw to watch sth. laptops are more beneficial than tv ı think. you can choose what you want and watch it when you want. no ads ne cuts. ads are of couse necessary for channel's surviving. but when can be waste of time. but tv of course has very important impact on family it can defragment the family or opposite divide. when ı was at kindergarden there was only one tv at our home and my brother's and mine best programs (power rangers and candy:D) at the same time and we fought every day to watch our bests. than my father solved this issue democraticly. one day ı , and other my brother watched. besides later we bought new tv. in this example we can show that tv can divide people. everyone has different interest and diffent choise and in the lenght of time you can break the touch. but it isn't like that every time some days we bought a dvd and watched it the whole family. or we watch news, documentary etc. and it compose a warm family environment. ı think it depends on how u want to use it. newspapers or radio also important people need to learnd what is going on in the world. we need media

are there any people who have never watched a reality tv programme such as who wants to be a millionaire, big brother, american idol etc or their version for another countries?and are there any people who claim that reality tv programmes are so neccessary, important or beneficial? so why everybody watch? there are different explanation for this situation, firstly rich and famous people are always at tv and watching them is classic but ordinary people at tv is so different, watching people which are similar to them in tv makes people happy and give them hope but this hope sometimes causes bad consequences. in the movie requiem for a dream there is a good axample for this. their mum turning to a drug addicted because of a tv program , some people especially who work about politics think that reality tv programmes for brainwash and people constantly watch them and don't thing another more important problems in country. george orwell's book 1984 which ı read half of them yet is really great and should be read by everybody ı think.

enormus radio is short story about a couple which seems like perfect. their attantion to the music and theatre makes them different from other couples. a new radio's bought is the turning point of their life. it is not a ordinary radio. it has a crackpot feature. when you turn on the radio you can hear people's (who surround you) voices. irine become an addicted to the radio because she is a curious person and also she has lots of spare time. at last part of the story we can understand that their marriage is not perfect. they pretend like happy because they are obsessed with outward appearance.the and of the storywe learn taht irine is a materialistic person and also she stool her mother's jelewery and they have very big conflict which isn't argued before.

family film analysis- little miss sunshine

little miss sunshine is a movie which criticise the family values and it is a dark comedy like American beauty. recent years there is an incrise in number of films which criticize family but Little miss sunshine is seperated from them with its warm, sweet scprit and the histrionics. the nuclear family is constituted from mom, dad, daughter and son but their grandpa is a heroin addicted so he is sent away from the instutition for elders and is included the family and the last person is kid's uncle Frank. the movie starting with sherly(mother)'s excursion to the hospital because of bringing his brother who commits a suice from the hospital. so frank also starts stay with them. all of the members of family has different interesting characteristic. olive is the daghter who wants being the winner of a beauty peagent, despite her fat body. frank is so unordinary grandfarher who reads porn and uses drug and he is the coach of olive for preparing her for the competition. Dwayne is a boy who read nietzche and doesn't talk with anybody through he enter the school to be a jet pilot. he histerically doing excersize for this military school. his father is one of his booster and thinks that not talking for an aim is the indicater of your caring so he support his silence. he is the person who affect negative most the others i think. he is obessive with winning. he divides people two groups: winners and losers and infect he is a totally loser. he writes a book about winning and tringing to land his book. he always talks about winners and losers and trys to motivate his family but he makes it worse. for examle in one part of the movie they go a restorant and olive wants ice cream but he warns her daughter not to eat ice cream because of its fat.he affects other members psychology negatively. and frank is a homosextual he is a expert about proust but he face with problems in his private life and job and commits a suicide. infect he is a great guy. his sister sherly is the mother who trys to keep family together. one day they take a phone call and learn olive wins a chance to dispute a beauty pageant called little miss sunshine ,so they all get in their yellow woklsvagen and their trip starts. it is also a road movie. this movie uses a a different opposite path but it bless the value of family.

Emily is a person who was born during the civil war and she lived with her father who has very strict rules. therefore she could not develop her relationship with other people. for example when her father died she said them her father was not dead, because her father put a very important part in her life and losting him is a catastrophe in her life. when he died she started to manage her life herself. Moreover, her family is very rich and they saw themselves superior than others so it affected her attitudes too.

In the essay “Is music piracy stealing?” Charles W. Moore discusses that downloading and sharing music is a crime or not. Statistics shows that many people aware of it but they don’t care about it. While we can download mp3 free from internet, giving a fortune to an album seems ridiculous. Of course with every click to a song from the internet, we disregard lots of people’s efforts and with this attitude we get a blow in music sector but it isn’t that simple. Some people are against downloading not only for artists, also for their own vested interests. And downloading music is very simple and it is too common so ending it is a hard job. With very strong laws they cannot prevent it, only reduce it. Will they put millions of people to the jail? They should find more creative and logical solutions.
